Madam Gillienne's Progress

Madam Gillienne has been getting a few treatments a week at the clinic and is doing really good. Her husband uses a mule to help her up and down the mountain path between here and Petit Bwa so she can be here for her treatments, but still see her family and children at home. We are so glad she is making all this effort for the good of her health. Although we may not always understand, there are people who don't take the help offered to them because it can make their lives even more difficult and they can't see how it will help them in the future. She came to the convention where some American ministers were able to meet her and have prayer with her.
Dr. Yves took her to Port to get some x-rays done last week. It showed that the infection has reached the bone and it is weakened, but it does not need to be amputated at this time. According to the Dr. she should have about 5 years before she will need to worry about that. This is a huge blessing and relief because walking is her main mode of transportation.More money has come in for her from 2 individuals in Arkansas! As for now, the total needed to finish her treatment is $3,650. Thank you all for your prayers and support of Madam Gillienne!

Thank you for Madams update. I'm glad to hear no amputation at this time. I will continue to pray that she continues to do well & that no amputation at any time will be needed. Keep us posted. Hope Adams back is not too serious and is feeling better.
