The medical staff has seen about 225 more patients Tuesday and Wednesday and the eye team has examined about 200 in those 2 days. Treating this great amount of people they have some pretty amazing stories.
One mother brought in her 4-week old baby girl on Monday who had peeling skin difficulty since birth. She couldn't hardly eat anything and cried a lot. This was her first time to see a doctor.
Dr. Dave examined her, weighing her in at only 5 pounds. She had dark skin alternated with bright pink, new grown skin. The dark skin peeled off in shreds. Dr. Dave discussed the case with Dr. Ken, Dr. Burt, and Dr. Yves and felt the skin condition was staph. scalded skin or "colloid baby syndrome" which would result in a very short life span.
They gave her an antibiotic injection and other treatments. The next day the mom brought the baby in and said the little one had eaten better. Her vitals had improved a little and her skin already looked better overall. This was so amazing to us because if she did in fact have the syndrome they were afraid of, she would not have gotten better with their treatment and would have just a few days to live. Mom and baby will be back to see Dr. Yves tomorrow for further check up.

Wow the medical team is really buzzing!!!!!!!!! What a huge blessing for those who travel near & far for their ailments. I pray the little one heals. Let us know if Noah has his eyes checked and what they find. Give my little lady Gerline a hug from Aunt Linda. Miss you all and can hardly wait til Feb arrives.
